Introduction on SJAM Pontian Area
Year 1980,along with the area commander departure, the Pontian Area cease to function until the 90‘s.
Until 10 Feb 1990,Mr.Teo Chuan Hu be appointed as area staff officer by state commander to re-organizing Pontian Area.
Year 1992,formed the first Cadet Division in Pei Chun High School.
Year 1995,Mr.Teo Chuan Hu be appointed as area commander by state commander.
Year 2001,our first ambulance donated by Hong Leong Charity.
Year 2004,the second ambulance donated by a monk Lian Huan Sheng Mao.
During these 20 years, we were formed with 6 Adult Divisions , 6 Cadet Divisions and 4 Junior Divisions.
Every year our area organized at least 6 times blood donation campaign, children colouring competition, first-aid and home nursing training camp and leadership camp.
So far, we have the Chinese community and government recognition.
Year 2008 SJAM celebrating 100 years anniversary throughout the country with series of activities during the year a kind-hearted donor gave a piece of land approx. 4672sq. feet in EMR 876,Lot 4653, Mukim Pontian,Lorong Bilai,Parit Semerah for putting up the headquarters but we still short of funds to build up the building and facilities. We hope to give help and support by publics.
The objectives of SJAM :
a) encourage and promote all works of humanity and charity for the relief of persons in sickness, distress, suffering and danger without any distinction of race, class, colour or creed.
b) render aid to the sick and wounded in war or in peace and to promote such permanent organizations in time of peace so that such aid may immediately be available in time of emergency and such aid shall include the provision of technical reserves for medical services of the Government and Armed Forces of Malaysia.
